Testing & Warranty

Used networking gear can be profitable and useful, but only when buyers understand what was checked and what risk remains. OPTIACC uses testing notes and condition grades to reduce uncertainty.

What we check

  • Visual condition and missing parts.
  • Power-on behavior, fans, boot status, and obvious hardware faults.
  • Port link checks, PoE behavior, console access, and basic function when applicable.
  • Optic, DAC, and fiber specs such as speed, connector, reach, and compatibility notes when known.

Condition grades

  • New: factory-new or new retail packaging.
  • Open Box: unused or lightly handled, packaging may vary.
  • Used A: tested, clean, normal light wear.
  • Used B: tested, visible cosmetic wear, fully described.
  • For Parts / Untested: only when explicitly marked.

Compatibility is separate from condition

A working optic can still be wrong for a switch. A working PoE injector can still be underpowered for a device. Before ordering platform-specific parts, send the model, port, speed, cable type, and distance if you are unsure.

DOA approach

Used and refurbished listings will show the applicable DOA or return window. For-parts or untested items are sold only when clearly marked.

What buyers should keep

Keep packaging, serial numbers, photos, and test notes until the order is confirmed working. This helps resolve any issue quickly.
